Our Wide Stave worktops are manufactured by hand using the finest African, European, and North American timber, creating a beautiful and individual kitchen worktop. Every worktop features wide, long staves which run the whole length of the worktop. This construction allows us to show the natural beauty of the wood and gives a more traditional look. The staves will vary in width across each worktop, typically 100-200mm.
Often confused with Oak due to its similarity in grain and texture, Ash is a stunning cream coloured wood with some light-mid brown streaking and typically straight grain. It is one of the toughest hardwoods available able to absorb shock and withstand pressure without splintering. This strength and flexibility allows us to create a hard wearing but beautiful worktop for your kitchen.
Character Grade worktops will contain a wide variety of different colours and grain patterns, knots may also be present and if loose will be secured using an appropriate hard filler.
